Just to clarify because I'm looking to probably build up another block over the summer.. When you guys say RS Machine..? Are you talking about RS motorwerks or is this another company? If not, who exactly is rs machine and what's their website. Anyone have pictures of the sleeves?

I know several cases locally where people have had some problems w/ GE sleeves, so I'm looking at other alternatives. Thanks.

Makes sense to me, 20% of 15= 3.
Trevor has built 15 golden eagle blocks. Out of the 15 blocks trevor has built 3 have droped sleeves. What percentage did the blocks that Trevor buid have sleeves fail?

Kinda sounds like an elementry word problems.
art did you miss this part of the quote?? "I never said 20% of the blocks fail". now if he didnt say 20% failed then he didnt say 3 out 15 failed either right?? seems like elementary math and word problems to me.

Ahh I dont care. hehe... My math is bad and I cant spell worht a ****. I think trevor does have some experience with the GE blocks. Ive seen pics.. but on the same token you cant believe everything read. But pictures are worth a thousand words.

Do GE sleeves drop, yes. Do they do bad work, no. Am I sending my block to GE, no. RS has my block and Im happy with their service.

I hate to disagree with you Art, but we have never seen ANY of these blocks have problems and if they DID for some reason, we never were informed about ANy problems. We can't fix any problems we may have had if we do not know about them!!!! If you experience a problem, especially you Trever since you are so local to me, bring them by and we will take a look at them! That is what the warranty is there for, use it! If I do not see any blocks come through my door, then you are just another person on the Bandwagon trying to bad mouth Golden Eagle for reasons unknown, but probably because your buddy either works at, or is trying to get started on, sleeving blocks or something. I have plenty of people out there doing this, but trust me, WE ARE THE BEST AT SLEEVING. OUR BLOCKS DO NOT DROP, LEAK, OR HAVE ANY FAILURES!

I chose GE to sleeve my block. They provided me with great customer service, and when I drove down to Cali Vince and his father were nice enough to give us a tour of their facility. They probably don't remember me and my friend stopping by from WA state, but I believe if I had any problems with my block they would take care of me.

The first one was returned to you. The owner was Allmotormadness on this site. You said that there was nothing wrong with it, Remember it? After being blown of on the first one why would I try agian?

I'm sorry about the 20% thing I see how that could be mis-understood. I'll edit it. I mean't 20% of the blocks I built.

Of the 972 blocks you claim to have done last year, how many were done for Import Builders? Why does Jeff claim he has as many as 10 with dropped sleeves? Why won't you help him? I went there to have him do a GE block for me but changed my mind. Whats up with that???Lets hear your side.

vince, maybe I should reword my statement. For me to say they drop is false. What I meant to say was in your quote in Larry's board where you said, "We have sleeved 972 blocks last year. We heard of 9 problems." Not dropping sleeves but problems. sorry about that, I meant no disrespect.

I need blocks that are right the first time. Getting the run around costs me and my customers money.

then go with GE. no, i didnt go with GE myself, but I certainly wish I would have. Vince knows his ****, and stands by his product. From what Ive heard about other companies("heard") this isnt the case. Plus, did I hear "warranty"? If I wouldve heard that word before I decided to go JG, I definately wouldve picked GE. that warranty is there "just in case" you get the block that is in that .005% error range

Look, I am truly sorry if there is a legitimate reason for your blocks having problems, but please bring them by so we can look at them. If there is a problem, we WILL fix it!! Otherwise, stop talking about it! Until I see a block with a problem from you, I rule you out!!!

There you go! If you have a problem bring it back and show vince!
Vince is backing up his work, now it's your option to take him up on his offer.
If there is a problem then Vince will fix it! What more can you ask for?
You have good customer service and a guarantee straight from the horse's mouth!

Im tired of these dumb arguements over GE blocks, I like my GE block( as do many happy customers). so no need to argue.. And also, since when are race motors supposed to be bulletproof? sometimes, **** happens, and it happens for a reason, but nevertheless, vince said to give the blocl back for inspection and repair, so whats the problem.. just my $0.02, ok ill shut up now guys.

Could someone inform me of how thw sleeves drop? I know the sleeves I have installed in V8's were installed with a 1/4 to 1/2" of the bottom of the cylinder left uncut to eliminate the possibility of a sleeve sinking.

How about some information about the different types of sleeving? Stepped deck, O-Ring, block gaurd, block girdle, block skirt, block panties - ops. forget those last few. I only have a vague idea what these things are.
