You positive the leak is from the head gasket? I thought mine was doing the same thing but it ended up being caused by an old distributor o-ring.

The way the motor sits any leak on that side of the motor will run towards that corner. I just hate to see you pull apart the motor and find out that wasnt the issue.

I have to agree.. That's happened to me as well. Thinking it was the gallery when it just happened to be the ;-)ring when I replaced an old distributor on an old b16 I was working with.. Double check that distributor first

If its a show car unloom and add the wire

Or use a wire from a sensor you dont use anymore and just move the pins

Vtec pressure sensor is one in that area. You can disable it in s300 and just make sure to check your oil.

Also good trick with the baby powder i never thought of that

dizzy oring was replaced two years ago.

i pulled the cam rails, cams journals, and lifted the exhaust cam up. returqued the one on that corner and the over cylinder four exhaust side. i never went back and retorqued them after the heat cycle after the headgasket last year. thats why i sprayed the baby powder in the bay to trace the leak

i do however need a vtec solenoid gasket.

Valve cover gasket, cam plug, distributor o-ring, or VTEC solenoid gasket is usually the culprit of oil accumulating in that corner.

side note,.... far as driveability, i notice no difference in part throttle or cruise. wot had a noticeable kick. i left my gap the same at.30. and the typical cranking times are killen me. i wana up the dwell times so bad.

i was gona do a cpr startup and gsc n1 idle video but i was burnt and hungry

If you dont plan to replace anything else and dont want the stock tach then yea

If its not a show car just route the wire out of the loom and get the stock one working then fix it later when you redo the harness

most likely the plan. problem with the wire outside the loom, is the increased risk of damage to the wire

so my a19 pin is blank. even before i installed the cpr and harness, on my jumper harness had two icm pins in a21. the tach on 99-00 gets its signal from the ecu. so im thinkin of pinning one or both of the existing a21 pins to a19. the blue wire from the dizzy has always been a dead pin tho. i think the pins are gona be dead pins do to the ignitor being deleted.

headache lol

well for me its a headache because ive only went thru the ecu one other time before. and that was just to verify power to something.

so after more reading, it sounds pinning obd2b a19 back to obd1 a21. the second wire of the two that i said was pinned together was b13( obd2b icm).

now, if it still doesnt work, then im ordering the pencil tach

boom. got my tach back. i just repinned that double wire back to a21. the obd2b b13 was a dead pin anyway from the ignitor being deleted. so i didnt clip it.

no i just need some brighter light output for the tach. i thought bout leds. any ideas

I see. My CEL still functions as normally. I also have done a mod to have the SI logo in my cluster to light up......
However neither one its not the best option as its kinda hard to keep your eye on the cluster.

LEDS are definitely an option but your still gonna need the circuit from a shift light to trigger the LED, at that point depends on how far you want to take it. I have found that single LED's are difficult to see in the day

Oh Nice Hopefully you will be able to shine the light through Depending on the area it can be difficult top shine the light through what seems to be paint.
I needed to lightly sand the backside when I did my Glowing SI symbol mod.

Mounting them can be tricky as well. I used Aluminum Multi-Purpose Foil Tape with success

UPDATE!

i got the led's in the cluster. they didnt really fit in the oem sockets tight. so i think one or two of the bulbs vibrated loose causing my fuel and engine temp side of the cluster to have the oem hue. ill post pics tomorrow.

oh... i got banned also for being suspect of a troll account for some dudes in gdd lol

Just a heads up, circumventing a ban is a really good way to get IP banned. Try to see if you can get your original account back.

Now you know why I don't **** with GDD lol
