Default Should i upgrade my wrist pins?

I cant make up my mind right now. On if i should get some new rods and upgraded wristpins? Reason being im changing my turbo setup to a 366xl im shooting for 750whp range?

My motor is running great no smoke sounds good its a gsr 2L wiescos 84.5mm eagle rods golden eagle slevved block made 590whp this year and like 500 the year before that over a 100passes dyno some street driving.

Im thinking some new bearings check everything out and run it????

Or some new rods manleys or somthing like that and upgraded wristpins and reuse my pistons if they look good?? The thing is im not rich

if your going to do that, you need to upgrade the pistons as well.

FWIW, once we get near the 800 horsepower range we will generally use manley rods, custom wiseco pistons or JE pistons--both with upgraded pins.

the actual piston its self on the shelf stock wiseco's is really thin around where the wrist pin goes. that will tear before the pin breaks generally. if the pin breaks, or the piston rips, you have to throw the entire motor in the trash. cylinder head, block, rods, crank, everything.

I can vouch for this lol

All this damage because i skimped on an extra 2 weeks, and an extra 200 dollars. I'd say the extra 200 dollars is worth it, to know you wont be throwing 5-6k in motor parts in the trash.

I dont have pics of the cracked head, the broken ERL 5Main Girdle, or the crank damage. Carnage at its finest.

So to sum it all up, YES, upgrade anything you can. Wondering when is not a great feeling when it comes to losing a motor.
