Should I install a block girdle in my LS/B16 built turbo motor?
I've been searchign around for a bit but i'm finding some conflicting information. Some people say do it some people dont.
My plans are to run forged pistons and rods on a well balanced Ls crank in an ls block; not shooting to make crazy power just be less volotile than my last built d16. I want to spin it to 9k and hope to make around 500hp max on race gas; ~ 300 on pump give or take.
So what do you think? I'm thinking so but there is a lot of machining involved and thats scary.
