Building my first Turbo motor, need EXPERIENCED advice!
After 2 months of my high compression GSR, i have decided to go turbo. My predicament is this, I can decide what block i want to use.
Option 1: I found a Golden Eagle sleeved LS short block, And they are also gonna throw in some 12.5:1 forged pistons i could sell to make somemore money. The whole rig is only $750.
Option 2: Send my GSR block to Golden Eagle, and install an LS crank and LS rods, with 84mm JE's and have a true VTEC 2.0.
I have heard several stories about LS VTEC troubles, and then i hear stories about people praising them. I need opinions on this.
The LS block will be saving me hella cheese, but i dont wanna sacrafice reliability or my revs.
