does that go for the engine internals as well?

btw, i can't remember if you guys said it already, but NSX run two metal tubes front to back (front firewall to back firewall) but in the "compartments" (engine bay and trunk bay) it's regular coolant hose. I'll try find pics if i can. Or some NSX owner on the boards can take pics and show you.

Today I finished the chassis work. Tomorrow, running the coolant lines, and mounting the gas tank. Then its on wheels and waiting for a fresh engine to be raised into it! No flanges yet, so thisll give me the time I need to get the car out of my way(customer cars are becoming more prevalent).

So does that mean you will post pics of the underside so I can see how you ran your shift linkage, and the tubing?

I honestly dont think there are gonna be THAT bad of traction problems, mr2's and nsx's havnt really had problems. rear wheel drive is the the best besides AWD especially with the engine sitting above the wheels. just throw some pretty wide sticky tires and take it from there....... wheel/tire sizes are probably the easiest thing on this whole project

i don't know about that man. My friend had an mr2 for about two years, he loved it except for the fact it spun the tires all the time.

my friend had an mr2 beater he bought for 900 that would run 1.8 60's on old all season tires.

Hey Cody,

From what I've heard of the Lenso wheels, I wouldn't run their 13"s on the street. They are not designed for the abuses of the road. Just drag purposes only.

well, drag racing isnt exactly "non-chalant". Im going by the load rating on the sides, they say 500KG. My Greenlights say 620KG, so I think Im safe. I truly think this car will end up weighing in at 2k lbs or less, so thats 500lbs/wheel. Put some load on there, and I highly doubt each wheel will see more than 500KG, ESPECIALLY with suspension. Now pull some 2f2f bullshit(or slam the front end down REALLY HARD from a wheelie), and then we might get there, but I doubt it. Whats the worse that could happen? Id crash, burn, and die? OK, Im there!

I would worry more about cornering than anything. I have the same wheels and you wouldn't catch me pullin' G's with them

Potholes cause very large shock loads through the suspension... that's the worse case. Cornering probably won't cause any trouble, but potholes bend and/or break wheels all the time...

ya, potholes own up here. I know the roads VERY well though, so I do what I can to avoid them. I wont be taking these wheels on any road trips or anything, I have the Greenlights pictured below for this.
This is the first time the car has been on the ground by itself. Im VERY impressed at how the suspension height came out(and how centered the wheels are in respects to the car and wheel wells), I was worried it was going to be too tall...as you can tell, its JUST perfect.
Im putting some ground controls or something on there so I can dial the height in after I get a full engine/tranny in there.
Ya, the fronts are EXTREMELY positive camber and toe. Its because the camber kit thats on there in ADDition to my compensated UCA mounts. I will swap with Jen's stock UCAs in the next couple days after I get her car over here.

I was doing some Pre-spring cleaning, in order to fit some customer cars in here for some turbo kit installs. Had to move the car, and I also wanted to see how she sat on her own weight.

gotta send the block out for sleeving and buy some rods before i can put the engine in. I have to make quite a few manifolds before I can do any of this. So hopefully the car will be running by spring(March 20th).

Damn, Tinker, that thing has a sinister stance going on . I'd probably **** myself if I saw that pop a wheelie. Make vids when you do .

I know, its SUPER wide. The rear wheels are around an inch wider than the stock rear wheels, which creates a SUPER wide stance. Oh ya, if I dump the front end, theres 1.25" of clearance between the front Kframe and the ground

I'd suggest rubber snubbers, a la F-body traction bars, for the front toe-hook areas so when you inevitably lift the tires you don't damage your radiator or anything by shocking the weight of the car through it. I know they make the same kinds of things for 'bagged mini-trucks.

Just a possible suggestion .
