Will this help reducing the temperatures under the hood? Its a Turbine heatshield sold by ATPturbo

I'm sure that would help decrease the underhood temp but dont' those things cost a ton?

I don't know if it would change the temp enough to offset the cost.

There are also turbo jackets or whatever that are an insulator you can put around the turbine housing, they don't look very nice but they are probably cheaper than a heat shield and would work about the same...

Beautifull, simply beautifull. If I can through something out there for ya. I would brace that wastegate. Thats too much weight hanging off your manifold with the dump pipe to add a little more to the mix. You could peobably get away without bracing it if it was like a couple inches shorter, but that wastegate hangs a good distance away from the manifold and could possibly give you a problem later. Other than that, your **** looks mad tight.

That just cost 59 bucks..the thing is that the turbo Jackets are nearly impossible to find for t3 turbos..Atleast i have asked at local turbo shops and they have told me the same thing... And compared to that heat shield the price difference is around 10-15 bucks...

Thanks..

No worries cause this is a LoveFab manifold..You know how thick the Stainless steel tubing is? Plus it has a Lifetime warranty so if anything happens i get it fixed for free.

I have a problem now!!

This morning coming to work i hear that the exhaust leak i have is getting bigger so when i get to the parking i noticed that the bolts that hold the turbo to the manifold are backing out...One alredy fell in the road, one is around halfway out and the other 2 are ok since the DP flange prevents them from backing out..So right now the turbo has 3 out 4 bolts....How can i prevent this from happening?

I am going to tighten them up before i leave work and drive home.

mechanically fastening the hardware is the best way. You could wire the nut on or weld on tabs that you bend up against the nut. something like that will work. Locktite and turbo heat don't mix for long.

Use lockwashers on everything. I did when my bolts started coming loose and now i have not had a problem for over 6 months, still fine.
