Quick question about my turbo (n00b)..
Can anyone tell me exactly what the lines on this turbo would route to? I just need to know which kind of lines to buy.
So far i have: turbo (interanally wastegated), manifold, down pipe, piping, evo fmic, greddy bov, tapped LS oil pan, apexi turbo timer, fuel pump, injectors... and now i just need to get the lines for this turbo and some engine managment..
Any help would be appreciated, thanks
yeah, i know the towel is gay
and it's going in this:

Re: Quick question about my turbo (n00b).. (KLUE)
hey, i'm a turbo noob as well but from the structural side of turbocharging i do know that the reason you get a turbo timer is to let the turbine cool off and let the car idle before it shuts down. the reason for that is to allow the oil and coolant in the turbine/compressor to cool down so they dont lose their cooling and lubrication properties from overheating. so my guess would be coolant and oil lines. i hope ur question gets answered, i havent seen anyone else on the thread yet so i hope this helps in the meantime

Maybe i'm wrong, but I think that that one line that is steel braided is the oil pressure line, and those other 3 lines work as one oil return line and two water cooler lines. The turbo seems to be water cooled, and thats what those lines are for. Only my .02 cents. good luck man.

in your first pic
the line closest to the front is a water return
the line in the middle is a oil feed
the line in the back is a water feed
and the big *** hole at the bottom is the oil return.
hope i helped maybe someone who owns this turbo can help you better than i can. i personally stay away from water and oil cooled set-ups. and man that turbo is a baby, what car, stock, did it come off of

yea that turbo is water cooler and oil lubricated. there is also nothing wrong with using water cooled set ups. i wouldn't use that small of a turbo on that engine tho. mught want to look into something a little bigger
