Questions/help for Turbo b18c1
Looking into buying a friends turbo.
Atm have a stock b18c1/tranny in my Eg hatch.
Looking to 250-270hp, On the safe side of a stock block and internals.
His set up consists of :
Drag Stage 2 turbo kit, 3" exhaust (apexi n1 muffler, has catalytic converter), RC 550CC injectors, Walbro 255lph, STR fuel rail, Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator, HKS SSQV blowoff valve, Hondata S200 with B16 turbo tune (300whp at 15psi), TRUST EGT, and oil pressure gauges, AEM wideband o2 sensor, Tial 38mm wastegate with external dump tube, GM 3 bar map sensor, Apexi avc-r boost controller, apexi turbo timer.
Question 1 - with a hondata s200 b16 tuned ecu, Would i need to upgrade to a b18 tune?
Question 2 - would a b16 turbo manifold fit onto a b18c?
I am not sure what parts would be interchangeable with eachother from motor to motor.
Question 3 - With not having a local tuner and that being 8 hours away.
How long/safe is it to run on low boost until i am able to travel that distance?
He;s asking 2500$ for all. Just thought id ask questions and receive help before i look into it further more.
Thanks.

Wow. Thunder bay... The turbo and intercooler are really the only interchangeble parts. for $2500 you could get new equipment and save yourself a lot of trouble going through a used kit, and still sacrifice little to go to a tuner in Minnesota or Wisconsin , USA.

Yes, Thunder Bay, Which puts me in a predicament for tuning options. Minni, or Wisconsin is my only hope.
The turbo was only a option atm, So thought id ask things before i buy.

$2500 is too much for a used drag kit IMO even with the hondata. also some of the parts aren't even needed on a basic turbo setup. (ex: avc-r, turbo timer, 3 bar map)
also the s200 is a little outdated and may be even harder to find a tuner with the equipment. you could run on the b16 tune temporarily but you want to get a retune for your setup. every car is different
