Question about my turbonetics turbo
Okay this is a turbonetics t3/to4e turbo i got from some guy on honda-tech a while back. He said theres no shaft play on it but i think i got jipped. Im not sure. I was just wondering if this turbo is suppose to have slight shaft play on it or not... i had my mechanic friend check it out and he said theres some slight shaft play on it...
would it be okay to use this still....?
or should i send it somewhere for a rebuild... if so
where is a good place and how much?
heres the turbo

why would u do that?
when u wiggle the compressor wheel does it contact the housing when u spin it? if not its fine.

all non-ball bearing turbo's will have a slight amount of side to side shaft play....even when new. i wouldn't sweat it

Re: Question about my turbonetics turbo (non-VTEC)
okay cool. its not touching the housing. just few minor movements left to right. So i guess this is a great turbo still. Time to boost baby!
