Default map sensor question.

my set up is a v-afc.2 with 440cc injectors on a 98 ls. My stock map sensor only sees boost in 4th or 5ft gear only at full boost in could be 7-10psi, but it wont see boost in 1st 2nd and 3rd, i can boost 12psi in low gears and it wont see any boost. Now my question is if i install a 3 bar map sensor should i redyno the car just in case? Or before i put the 3 bar on, should i put the missing link back on? What do you guys think?

How is the 3bar going to work with the stock ecu? Also, why isn't it going to see boost? I think you need to upgrade to something a little more modern.

Why don't you get a obd1 conversion and get the ecu rom tuned? I can setup your ecu for a small fee and street tune it with a wideband. It will run alot better and you could run a 3bar.
