spool up

my turbonetics turbo has a bad shaft play and i thinking about sending off to get rebuilt or getting another turbo. will a shaft play cause the turbo not to spool up like it should. just a yes or no.

anytime there is terminal damage, its going to effect its performance.

so yes, to a degree.
