you can keep the turbo in its highest efficiency (77%) still at about 21 psi, anything above that and youre starting to push hotter air. At that point it looks like youll be pushing arond 450cfms</TD></TR></TABLE>
can you boost 21 on a greddy turbo? i thought 16-18 was pretty much the limit.

i really havent heard of that many people pushing the 18g that far in boost levels, but if for some reason its not just blowing hot air past 18psi, i dont see why not. might be off the compressor map???

the TD05H wheel is good to 21-23psi before it starts blowing hot but the exhaust side is the limiting factor

Here's a question for you all.

I have a -4AN SS line from the oil pressure sensor to the top of the turbo. Is that too big of a line for this oil cooled turbo?

What size line is everyone using? for reference -4AN= 4/16= 1/4 inch

It is oil lubricated and yes, -4 AN is fine. The Greddy CHRA has an oil restrictor built in.

finally set up the profec to run 16lbs on the 2.2 dart motor w./the 18g, the guys say its useless 'till 4th gear, we'll get #'s as soon as we can, but its insane for a street car... i'll post a few pics later...

i haven't started my car yet but i have -3an feed, -6an drain. would tbc coating the manifold, exhaust housing and elbow help the turbo to not 'blow hot air?' any1 got a flow map for the 18g greddy turbo other than the one above. it doesnt work.

On a 2.2? Prob a good bit restrictive on the exhaust side. 16 lbs is not that fast on an 18G though

I am in the midle of building a b18a.
For the block , all new oem pumps, bearings, gaskest . CP 81.5mm , eagle rods . Balanced with the action flywheel , and oem crank pulley.
The head has been cleaned up , stock sized supertech valves, dual springs , retainers .
I will be using the Greddy 18g ,manifold , downpipe, and type s BOV . All custom piping and a 24x9( i think )x3 IC ,custom tanks .
No idea what to expect, but I am sure it will be fun . I was running this kit before in a DA with a stock motor , and it worked great , no numbers sorry . Once the new engine is built I will post it up

Yeah this is strictly a street car and it will see the occasional autox . It is being built for fun not for the track .

i beg to differ, the car is completely useless 'till 4th gear, it may not be an optimal combo, but it works so well... you know it doesnt have the greddy elbow or d/p anymore? customer runs it w./open 3" downpipe, i'll post pics of how we fab'd it up as soon as i find them...

I understand, I run the 18G also with no elbow and a 3 inch vband downpipe. I am in no way discounting your setup at all, I love the 18G and have pretty much maxed it out, but the fact of the matter is the exhaust housing is quite small. 4th gear on 185/60/14 snow tires
