Default Profec Spec II - Spooling Faster - Do you need to retune >>

I have a profec Spec II, and was going to start messing around with the "start boost" setting which will increase my spool time a little bit. Its currently set at "0" so im sure i can get a little bit better spool time.

Anyway. If I do mange to get better spool time, do I need to retune the motor. Im not quite sure how fuel tables and timing are calculated during boost.

Thanks guys,
platinum.

anything that affects the air flow characteristics of a motor, requires a retune
a retune doesnt nesesary means the whole powerband, but the areas affected

It can be quite a bit difference in responce. If I crank the gain on the original Profec B, I can get spool at least 500rpm sooner. However, I find boost to be very unstable once it reaches the desired boost level.

that's if the SET GAIN is out of proporton with the actual GAIN on the Profec B Spec II.
