profec a vs b which is better
hey just bought a profec a for 75 bucks looks new..the question is which is better and why??? can you do low boost and high boost like the profec b with the A??? any help would be great thanks
Ah yes, the Old School Profec A. It was a nice boost controller but complicated for the times compared to the Profec B Spec S or Spec II. Honestly, as much as I like the Spec B II because of its boost "gain" feature to help with response, Boost limiter percentage option, and the digital readout, the Spec S is simple, easy to learn, only uses a couple of *****, and no "percentage" numbers to worry about. Those used to retail for $500 back in 1998-2002, so $75 isn't horrible.
The Profec A has a "fuzzy logic" feature that acts as a boost spike preventer when it comes to setting the boost control for the car. It's a bit more complicated than it should be, but it is very learnable. There's no need to necessarily sell it, but the Spec B in B or S is a better option if possible.
