Problems with Drag Manifold

Re: Problems with Drag Manifold (CostaCivicSI)
The DRAG exhaust manifold has a lifetime warranty against cracking. I seriously doubt that they would even consider offering that kind of warranty if there were any issues with cracking. Boost creep/spike problems are the result of replacing the original 2.5" downpipe with a 3" DP and exhaust, which the kit was never designed to use. Use a good quality wastegate and stick to 2.5" DP and exhaust and you'll be fine.

Re: Problems with Drag Manifold (Bictorious)
I bought my drag manifold used, and it was cracked in two places. I welded it up in ~2 minutes, and while it doesn't look pretty, it has NEVER spiked on me and it has never had any creep issues.
According to the previous owner, the manifold cracked after a few hundred miles of highway runs on/off with high EGT's. I don't know how much truth there is to that, but I don't think he's far off. The manifold cracked between the 3rd and 4th runner. I don't see how bracing it would help that, but I know very little about that.
EDIT Deltagates are crap. Took my car to the dyno yesterday and my deltagate bounced between 4 and 7. Total POS.
Just my opinion, but for the money you can't beat it. I got my manifold and wastegate for about $175 combined.

I run the Drag mani with Tial 38mm. Getting close to 7k mile now and no problems whatsoever. Never spiked once. I run a 2.5" DP flaired to 3" after the flex tube. I bought it used BTW. Only thing I don't like is you have to chop up your dipstick in order to make it fit.

Probably not... instead you will most likely increase the stress to the manifold since thermal expansion will cause added stress in the X,Y, and Z directions to where the brace is connected to the manifold.
I've ran one in the past as well with zero problems. I've only seen 1 cracked drag manifold out of probably 20 i've seen. And that was on their original GSR manifold design years and years ago. The crack was a hairline one on the top of the manifold where the 4 runners all met. The manifold was replaced free of charge.

I have had one for probably 20+K miles so far. I had no problems at all until i went to an sc61 and a cutout on the exhaust. Now it creeps a little bit.... but other then that its been perfect.. I run the Tial 35mm gate..

The dipstick works fine with the DRAG mani... all you have to do to the dipstick is bend it slightly where the upper rod meets the rubber grommet, this only necessary for the b-series mani.

Re: Problems with Drag Manifold (MadCow)
I got a used drag manifol today and it looks like there are 2 cracks. 1 btwn runner 1 and 2, and the other btwn 3 and 4. I can just weld them back together right?

Re: Problems with Drag Manifold (MadCow)
I read porting out the WG opening on the drag manifold helps out with boost creep also. I noticed when I received mine, the gasket and opening didn't match very well at all. HTH.
