Take the spring out or just don't drive easy and you won't go into boost.

If you have a nicely sized turbo it will be hard to stay out of boost 100%. If it's too big it will be very easy to stay out.

you could always unhook the charge piping and run the filter right off the throttle body... just listen to the turbo whirl as you drive along

I was under the impression that you did NOT want to drive with the charge piping off. The lack of resistance on the cold side has the possibility of making the turbo spin too quickly? Maybe I'm crazy.. hehe

are you sure you can?

yeah but seriously, if you drive normal, meaning not mashing on the gas pedal, you wont even see boost. i will assume you have a boost gauge, just monitor that while driving and youll see what we mean.

Being that i've had a small turbo on my car, I can say that you can drive without boosting...I now have a turbo thats too big so it's really easy to stay out of boost (

Yeah you don't want to ride with the charge pipe off, free spinning turbo's aren't the best thing.

Exactly. Im telling you, on a long *** drive like this.. its gonna be really hard to stay out. Because you know there are times when you drive and you kinda have to get on it to either, get in front of people, i dunno, **** happens, but yeah i just want to be on the safe side. iLL remove the spring. If it was an hour drive then maybe, but not 7 hours.

If you wastegate vacuum line is hooked up to the turbo, undo the charge pipe at the throttle body and plug it. That way the turbo is still regulated by the turbo and your engine won't see boost.
