Default Boost surge....best way to reduce it...?

What are the main causes for boost surge...? Im experiencing some at full boost (boost fluctuates between 13-14psi) I can hear the turbo spool fluxuate up and down.

Im using a blits SBC II boost controler, tial 38mm wastegate with a 6psi spring. Some input would be great

you're only supposed to double the wastegate spring setting.

6 psi spring- max = 12 psi.

I heard you can triple the max of the spring....is that wrong...? is boost surge very bad for your turbo? What size spring would you reccomend...?

Im running 9psi on the street, 14 track.

Could it also be my blow off valve...? Its bout 8 years old

You cannot triple the max spring setting. You can use a 8.5psi spring and go from there.
