I just installed a turbo .63 a/r with rev hard manifold, tial 38mm wastegate (5psi), precision intercooler, and custom ic piping, with an hks blow off valve, and prelude 345cc injectors. I have been having trouble finding a down pipe to fit so I have a rev hard down pipe that I am goin to take to get modified to fit the car. Is it possible to start the car without a down pipe, and drive it to the place for the down pipe to get fitted or would that not be a good idea? I was just wondering.
I've done it plenty of times. Aside from a littlebit of soot build up on the side of the engine everything was fine. Make sure nothing is next to the outlet though like a radiator or A/C piping...anything. Use common sense. Also don't boost/romp on it either to limit the hotter exhaust gases.
