Default Routing Dump Tube to Down Pipe

I need some opinions on this, use a 1 1/2" 180 degree ubend for the piping (from the wastegate and use the leftover for the down pipe side) and in between these piping weld a 1 1/2" flexible exaust pipe from the auto store.

Sounds ok??, my only concern is will the flex pipe hold up to the abuse

That's pretty much how how I did it. You want the wastegate pipe to enter the dp as parallel as possible. I had it like that for over a year and it's still holding.
You can sort of see the wg pipe here in the lower left:

and here's from the bottom.

Technically you need to route the dump tube at least around 24" from the turbine exit to fend off any unwanted turbulence.

Looks like the guy above me knows what I'm talking about.

Why not 20"? How do you figure 24" would work?

i heard it was 18" from the exhaust housing. Articles or dyno sheets would be nice

Corkey Bell said 18", but I want to know why it is that he chose 18". Why not 17" or 40"?
