overheating
I put my turbo kit on the other day and we were taking it up and down the road trying to get the boost controller to work so we finally get it to work and it shoots up to 15 psi so I had to let out so we turn it down to 10 and run it for a few minutes and it starts to overheat does anybody have any insight as to what it could be thanks!
There could be a thousand reasons its overheating. Your best bet would be to have someone who knows cars look at it. I guess before you have that done you can check the obvious, coolant level, fan operation, thermostat and fan switch. All of these are easy to check and if theyare ok you need a pro to pinpoint your actual problem.

if thats the case more likely then not you should see oil in your coolant or vice versa.
if you have a front mount intercooler that is large enough to block your radiator then that may be the cause too. id recommend lowering the boost down till you handle your overheating problem.

Yeah I havn't seen any coolant in the oil and I just changed the t-stat and it ran normal for a while and it started to overheat again the intercooler does block most of the airflow so I guess it could be a number of things.

Yeah my fan is coming on I think i am going to do a compression test tomorrow by the way does anybody know how many pounds a stock honda head gasket can take thanks in advance.
flush your whole coolant system and make sure its bled well. run your fan on a toggle switch and save up for a bigger radiator and maybe look into some pusher fans. my car overheats at idle, compression is fine, bled the system and hasnt overheated since. my guess, radiator just aint cuttin it.
not sure if si's have a bleeder valve but this is how i did it... remove the radiator cap when it's COLD so coolant won't splatter all over the place. start the car and let it warm up with the cap off. it'll take awhile(forgot how long) but soon your fan will kick in and bubbles will start coming up(this is when u add coolant). let the fan turn on a couple more times and add if necessary. replace the cap and you're good to go.
thanks for the tips some other people think that my radiator isn't cutting and I guess they are probably right my radiator is a automatic one because my car used to be a auto .
