Overheating issue wtf Help!
Ok I replaced everything that you can with a cooling system. Water pump, thermostat, coolant temperature switch, temperature sensor for the cpu, temperature switch for the guage, the coolant, radiator and cap are 3 months old, head gasket yesterday, and the thing still overheats.
Has anybody had any weird overheating problems with there Honda before?
Right now I dont have the thermostat on the car, after about 20 minutes of driving, my car overheats. The fan motor is always running. What do you think?

Re: (noz79)
i had the same problem on my y8 2 years ago. It turned out to be a sensor by the thermostat. its like 30 bucks, sorry i dont' know exactly what its called. After that, i didnt over heat and my fan ran fine. hopefully that helps

Thanks but the switch was replaced thats why this is so confusing to me. The switch isnt getting hot enough to turn the fan on anyway.

1.)Replace your radiator hoses, they could have collapsed and restricted water flow.
2.)One of the coolant ways could have something clogged (like a chunk of corrosion for a freeze plug) in the head or block. restricting flow.
3.) Head gasket is blocking flow.

Re: (dynimitejack)
Hoses are new 3 mths old, I didnt check the block for coolant flow but I did check the head when it was off, everything looked good. Head gasket is brand new 1 day old. Everyone is telling me to bleed the system, which I did. Im going to do that again. I checked the main hoses for any restrictions, then the hose in back of the motor to the water pump and upper hose to the water pump, everything seems good.

Another weird thing is the (honda oem) switches(I tried two different ones) for the guage dont seem to work right, but the aftermarket one does. Or is closer to being correct than the oem one.
