running a little bit hot
car runs fine even with my headgasket leaking but when i let it sit still idle sometimes (its on and off i dunno wtf) it gets too hot. other times the fan will kick on and it will be back to normal other times not. i replaced the thermostat and the temp sending unit. maybe the thermostat is sticking???? any suggestions???

i would change the thermostat and check and i believe there is an internal thermostat switch somewhere in the area of the housing there.... if the fan is acting up, i would definetly check that. how are the fins on your radiator? are they all bent up?

Don't you mean a lower thermostat? One that opens at a higher temp would just make the problem worse.

how longs it been sicne you flushed your coolant? It helped me, did it a week or so ago. My old coolant was nasty as hell. So i bought some of the zerex brand coolant flush. Just went by the intructions, and put new coolant/water in.
