oil in turbo question.
So a few months ago I poured oil in the turbo because I knew it wasn't going to be used for a while. I went out in the garage today and noticed there was a little oil coming out exhaust side of the turbo. Does this mean the seals are shot?

No, for the most part turbos don't have acutal seals on the exhuast. Not sure on ball bearings? Anyways, it uses air pressure differences to keep the oil going inside and not into your exhuast.

There's a sealing ring on the back of the turbine shaft towards the exhaust wheel. some of that oil collected there and it pooled a little out of the back. nothing to be afraid of. The actual ring creates a seal during motion while the oil splays throughout the cartridge.
