Getting oil in my exhaust.....
I need a little help here....
I checked and i'm getting oil shot out the exhaust, and when i get in boost hard, i'll see a cloud of smoke behind me.
I took off the turbo, and i'm sending it in for a rebuild, but It's only 3 months old. Is this normal?
And can you guys tell me what possibly could have happened for the turbo to go bad so soon?
My oil return seemed fine. No snags and it wasn't pinched either. But it's not stainless, just high strenght rubber.
And there's no oil being forced through the intake piping. So it seems just the exhhaust part of the turbo went bad.
Another thing i think might have been the cause is switching oils. I bought the b16 block used and I dont know what oil the previous owner ran. Could a switch from regular oil to synthetic 5w30 be a problem for the seals?
Any insight please...

i read that oil in your downpipe means that the oil seals are messed up. maybe the oil pressure was too high for the turbo.
about the oil, i asked that question once when i took my car for an oil change (yes im that lazy). the manager said that it wont do anything if you just switch from regular to synthetic or vice versa.
