oil pan tapping vs pretapped pan
I'm gonna put an FMAX in my 95 GSR. What's the best and easiest/time efficient way to go? drop my pan and have someone weld fittings or go with an aftermarket like the Moroso with pretapped fittings? Or get a new OEM pan and have that one done before I even put the turbo kit on? Any ideas?

If you've got cash to spend why not on the moroso pan. If time is a factor buy a used pan and get it tapped/welded.

Just drill a hole into your pan and install a AN bulkhead fitting. It tightens against your oil pan allowing the oil to flow thru the fitting with no chance of leaking. Then finish it off with a steel braided line. This is what I'm doing with my install.

any sources for this? Do most turbo kits come with these type of fittings? Many say the best is to have a fitting welded on.

Go to a local hose/hydraulic dealer and purchase a "bulkhead" fitting. This is the same thing that is used on NHRA approved fuel cells. It can be installed without welding.
