i would take the pan off and weld an fitting in it!
most pans are to thin to just tap.

weld-on -10 AN bung

or do it without welding

i recommend using a -10AN bulkhead fitting

a -10AN bulkhead nut

and 2 -10AN stat-o-seals

1. mount turbo/dp and mock up return line, mark pan for return bung (high as possible)
2. remove the pan. using a unibit drill large enough hole (maybe 7/8")
3. cut off short end of fitting, stick fitting through the inside of the pan and tighten bulkhead nut from outside of pan. remember to use washers or stat-o-seals on each side
4. reinstall pan and install stainless return line.

there was an old wirte-up on here that showed the whole process. i did it this way and had a less-free weldless line for 3 years. (granted welding is much easier)
