tapping oil pan for drain line?

Default tapping oil pan for drain line?

I did a search already and only came up with 2 posts which didnt meet my needs....I was wondering if someone could post pics of their tapped oil pan so as I have a few references of how to do it I have one of these and am wondering a few ways to attach it to the oil pan

Just drill in between the holes where the bolts would go towards the right side of the pan. At least that is where I drilled on my D17 oil pan. Main thing to worry about is whether or not you can get the bolts back in with the fitting and return line installed.

Drill a hole that the threaded part of the fitting threads into almost all the way so the wrench flats are close to the pan. Get the pan down to bare metal and weld a nice bead around it on the outside of the pan. You can do the inside but if the outer weld is done right it will be overkill anyway.

well, i want to tap my oil pan so that in the upcoming month when i install my turbo i dont have to worrie about getting it tapped because i would aleady have it done.

stan at fast-turbo.com has a nice oil drain kit i just ordered my feed line kit from him cant wait until i get it
