You have done 0 research....around 10 psi is all your gonna get 200whp on a maxed out setup. So that answers the blockguard comment... most people run these on a stock bottom end... PS and AC is no problem..

whats up, just revisiting this thread.

Thought i'd put a good question out there for you guys.

The install guide suggested to change out spark plugs for 1 step colder than stock. The only spark plug mentioned in this thread was "ngk6097", what are you guys running? '

refresher : y7 with a 8# crank pulley, CAI, and FPR.
I know the car has more potential with some headers and exhaust work, just looking for a kamikaze right now. 2ndary o2 went out the other day, thought i'd order some new plugs along with the sensor!

Thanks!

Hey Daveb91,

I don't know if you remember my previous posts about my belt waliking off the crank a bit do you? well anyways after gruelling pain adding and removing washers on the idler pulleys, I figured it out. The upper idler pulley just needed to be spaced out by one thin washer, then walla I got a reliable pulley system. Just wanted to update every 1 since this is a common problem.

So whats next for me? Maybe 9 lbs. boost upgrade, and some slicks for the drag races.

Anyone have success drag racing their sohc JRSC's? I raced it on street tires and did terrible because the tires wouldn't hook up. I'm hoping that with slicks I will grab some good ET's. The car does seem to hook up way better on the street though.

Lets bring this thread back to life for some summer time burnouts!!
