Your better off than I am right now as my blower is not ported so you can run a little more boost. Two things though your timing seems to be on track with what I have but I would let a tuner on a dyno do my thinking second, honda map sensor can only go to about 11 psi so you may want to consider upgrading. The bottom end sounds like a good piece. Any hp numbers?</TD></TR></TABLE> I see 10 psi at around 6000 rpm Im thinking with the y7 pulley I should see around 11.5 psi. I dont have any HP numbers but Im thinking around 170 right know. I keeps up with my friend m62 b18.

i have a 97 hatch
d16y7 with a JRSC kit

4.0 nose pulley and the crank pulley that came with the kit

i noticed my stock crank pulley is larger

can i use that in place of the JR crank pulley for more boost?

will the belt alignment be ok and can i still use the same 3pk1220 belt?

i really would prefere to use the factory crank pulley since it is dampened

please let me know.

thanks

Go ahead and try it I run a Y7 pulley on my A6 there should be enough adjustment in the tensioner for the belt. Now I personally wouldnt do this with the JR fmu I found it to be really inconsistent with anything above the stock psi. Rich on the bottom lean on the top end. Cant remember which kit is offset but if its yours you could try shims.

Kassus,
Just interested in what brand your intake tube is. Not much room around the battery. We're doing a similar build with a single cam ZC and a JR blower. Right now I have the filter attached to the throttle body(no tube).

I just liked how it's bent up and around the battery.

you can use any intake for the car. im assuming you are using an EF.

use an EF aftermarket intake, and cut it to fit the TB S-tube.

here is what i did on 8atman's install.

uncut.... but no battery. turned the SRI into a CAI

Thanks Streetwerks,
We have a tube configuration just like you have pictured. I just don't like how it almost touches the positive terminal. The one in kassus's engine bay is kicked nicely around pos terminal. I have a bunch of old CAI tubes laying around the shop. We can slice up one and re-form it with rubber fittings and clamps.

Funny you mentioned that. My son told me today that he wouldn't mind spending a hundred bucks for a micro cell battery.

I still prefer to be cheap... $40 for a walmart everstart

Default Import Wars Points Series @ Great Lakes Dragaway.... Union Grove, WI

We just uploaded 84 new video clips on Hondaddy.com
I know this may be an unrelated subject, but there is at least one SOHC JR S/C car featured in the videos. Ours!

Our most recent event was 5-27-07 at Great Lakes Dragaway in Union Grove Wisconsin. Import Wars #2 was a beautiful day and some really good match-ups

Visit http://www.Hondaddy.com and select "Videos". Then choose the event you wish to view.

Now I have a question, is there a water injection port on the SOHC kits if so what port on the s tube are they calling it?? All my fittings are all used up maybe something that is used on my A6 kit is freed up on others?

Default water injection

Some late model supercharger came with the manifold tapped for water injection, if yours did'nt you must tap the manifold for water injection, when you purchase a new water injection system they come with a drill bit , made specifically for their water injection nozzle. water injection should be injected after the blower.

I do not like the placement of that nozzle. it would seem there would not be good even flow through all cylinders with it mounted there. There are many examples of W/M being mounted before the blower with no problems and as long as the W/M is tuned it works very well. Thanks for that pic though, is that the JR W/M nossle location??

This is where jackson racing installs it's jet, and is in the center of the manifold. Also aquamist recommends installing the jet 90 degrees from the air flow. It could be better if 4 smaller jets were installed in each of the intake manifold runners. Aquamist also confirms that jackson racing did testing on the jet placement on the manifold.
