After shimming my swaybar, I fiddled my GCs at least 4 different times, and had some settling issues with the rubber pad at the top of the spring getting twisted around and taking a day or two to resettle and confrom to the shape of the spring and upper perch it's squished between. Despite this I always had "LSD posis" on an open diff.

While you can crossweight the car statically like that, and I'm sure it has an effect, I think most of what you get is operating dynamically... the shims actively twist the swaybar and help more dealing with the initial weight transfer when launching.

Or, hell, I dunno... this is all speculation + after the fact guesswork based on my experiences. Chassis is pretty stiff, not a stock bushing or mount left in it, and the springs are pretty stiff too. That probably has more to do with it than the BS I typed up above.

soooooooo tempting... I will keep my eyes on this thread, and hopefully have enough informed information, to form my final decision on this product, before the model for the GSR is released.......

why do people keep saying it has a lifetime warranty like it matters, their lifetime warranty only covers their own screwups when making the product, it DOESNT cover you breaking it.

Yup yup. The QC of the OBX LSD is still up in the air, but "dailod" will have your ebay'd diff to you so fast your head will spin.

 

The Quaife warranty will fix it if you break it. It's a real warranty, not a manufacturer defect warranty

Racer I know "flips" the gears each off season, replaces the Quaife (warranty?) every 2 years.

everybody who has reported on one has had no problems(granted they haven't been used long),but i would still consider their durability up in the air until lots of people have used them for a long time-i didn't want to wait three years to buy one.and,yes,"Dailod" did get me my product "so fast my head spun".

Which is the damn truth. It's a Quaife clone, but as you say it doesn't have years of history on the market and in cars to go on.

And here I agreed that if you wanted to purchase one from ebay, "dailod" was not a scam artist and is a prompt shipper. Which was the point of my post - one favorable review only goes so far, me posting my positive experiences with "dailod" starts to portray a history of positive experiences.
