No, but I can tell you right now that my axle is stuck...sucks big time. After seeing this flaw by itself, I would recommend them for light bulbs, you would think that the axle fitament would be a top priority...but then again, who am I to say this, I only have a BRAND new axle stuck in there...so none of the half *** remarks that were made to the other guy please.

is this a clip-groove issue?
and is it only on one part number, or all?
seems rather important for everyone to gloss over it as unimportant.

It is some sort of issue. I will call OBX tomorrow, of course i will get the it is your fault treatment, but I have to try. It is obviously a manufactor flaw seeing as how there are several people who are having the same issues...atleast that is the way I see it.

Why should I get the Gator stage 2's...I have an OEM stuck right now...that would just mean more $$$ to beat out of my diff...I would like to have some though, I know that it is just a matter of time before I break an axle. Just don't want to have high dollars stuck in my POS diff.

Well, after talking with OBX, it will have to come back out at my cost, shipped to them at my cost, and my b16 one put back in at my cost. Then IF they say it was the product, I will have to get another one form them and pay for the shipping and reinstallation...bump for some shitty service and some crap *** part.

holy crap, just found this thread.... I'm having the same issue with the axle being stuck in a 99 civic Si tranny.

Here is a picture for clarification. We ended up having to break the axle to get it out. It also bent the tranny housing.

I don't know about the H22 as my prelude has a quaife. I'm glad I spent the extra money on the quaife now.

After having difficulty with a b-series obx unit (as seen from the pic earlier in this thread) I decided to try and pop the axles out of the quaife I have in my prelude. Since I needed to replace the passenger side LCA it seemed like a perfect time to do it. I tried last friday, and boom, popped right out like it was supposed to.

got a gsr obx unit in for a customer today. we installed a cv before tearing the trans out to check that the axle would be removeable. it took a little effort, but not too bad.

so gsr units seem to be fine.

Hey everyone says that the quife is indistructable, but I have proof of one being basicaly crumbled into little peices. Someone show me how to post pics, blew 6 holes in transmission, blew lsd, took rest of trans with it. Going to try a OBX since you give it a good rating, and about same power numbers. B20 vtec turbo, 586hp and 432tq. Wanna do a 5 gear burnout and have fun again. Running ys1 trans.

I remove the intermediate shaft and I use a punch with a long 1/4 inch extention. It pops right out if you get a clean tap on it.

Other that this axle removal problem the OBX lsd works great. I ran my first 9 second pass with it. My VSS datalogges look so much cleaner thru the first half of the track.

I don't see how you can say that since nothing is indestructable...

As some of you saw earlier in this thread I was having trouble with a b-series obx unit....

Final Update:
So I sent the POS back to the vendor I purchased it from, knowing that he would then return it to OBX for inspection. I was kind of mad at the time, knowing how time had already/was going to be wasted... Well, last Thursday I get the word from the vendor on HT that said he just got it back from OBX. Guess what... OBX said there is nothing wrong with it. To quote the vendor

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Its being shipped back to me. They said they only cover manufactor defect damage. That this doesnt fall under those terms as a manufactor flaw. So it will be shipped back to you within the next 3-4 business days . </TD></TR></TABLE>

I tried to work it out with the vendor, but he sent it back to me anyways...

So, I arrive home yesterday and the POS is sitting on my front door....

F%&k them if they think I'm gonna bend over and take it.
Credit Card Company called....
Charges Disputed....
Money returned....

I was initially worried that I wouldn't get my money back b/c I paypaled him the money, but my CC doesn't care.... Money returned.

So, I'm here stating my claim now... OBX and their products suck. Consider yourself warned! The "Lifetime Warranty" is obviously non-existant. Although I got my money back for the diff, I'm still out an axle, and my trranny case needs to be repaired. People, read this and comprehend. Don't buy this POS.

here it comes, for that price it is to expect that their warranty sucks, we need to be a bit more intelligent and get a quaife
