newest uberdata released

I have the uberdata chip in my turbo ls. Towards redline, it gets as rich as 9.75:1 on 8psi of boost. But initial tip into boost or even partial boost (0-4psi), the a/f is roughly 14.2:1 or so. this looks interesting, but I don't know if it will help, worth a look anyway.

An exhaust gas analyser may be used, but tend to have a slow response time (although they are more accurate than lambda meters).
With forced induction the ideal mixture will be a richer under boost. Generally lambda 0.82-0.86 (air/fuel 12:1 ö 12.6:1) is suitable for a boosted engine. For engines with a detonation problem richer mixtures can be used. "</TD></TR></TABLE> from here

The above guy is selling multiple williems burners. I'm not sure how well they work? anyone comment? What i don't like is how it needs a paralell port. who uses those now? and it has to use an d/c power source. other than that, the price looks good.
Not sure if it uses 29c256 chips, but it does use 27c256 chips.
And on the partial throttle subject above. I'm aware that for maximum full throttle, you do want to tune around 11.5-12.8 or so. Partial throttle still makes me curious though. I'm not certain if this is a possible error in the uberchip, or it's simply supposed to be like this. It concerns me b/c like most people, i spend most of my daily driving in partial throttle/boost, not full.

is there some kind of a user's guide or beginner's guide to tuning the Uberdata? I have no experience with these kind of table and some of the program is like greek to me. I know I'll have to add fuel for certain rpm ranges, and edit the ignition table, but how? thanks. I just need some basic info to get started. I'll be using a wideband.

Damn skippy it is
Let's get more in on this... remember we need 5 orders to make it happen. We have two - hoggy and I for certain.
However I'd prefer someone with a less vested interest to hold the $$$... An uninterested party who has proven their trustworthiness by participating & showing helpfulness + interest with no expectations of payoff. I'm not even in the US let alone in the same state so there is little to no recourse for me trying to reclaim lost funds - that's why I'm so cautious
Don't take it personally.
We need someone to receive our funds as the group buy organizer. I'm willing to pay full $$$ for my unit up front for a 3rd party to order 5 units bulk. I'm also willing to pay a little overhead to make it worth the GB mod's while. Say $75 USD - that's still $23 cheaper than buying it straight up, and 5 orders gives him $35 USD for handling and as a bonus for being a nice guy
. After he receives the units we can ship them and pay him via PayPal for shipping charges. If a shop is willing to step up and do this, someone with creds, I'd very much appreciate it.
That way we all get a deal, and no one worries about the trustworthiness of the handler.
Sound fair? We need a moderator for this now... nominations?

I don't think its an error, probably needs a bit more tuning. I just read over on hondata's site about a part throttle issue they were having, details here.
I am sorry, I am really not qualified to give tuning advice at the moment

Danny, if you follow his link from the description the Atmel 29c256 is listed as a supported chip - so maybe this will be the cheapest option of all
I too don't like the external DC power supply, though.
These burners - Batronix, Willems - how portable are they? Forgive my n00bness, but I'm not sure if I could take a burner along with a laptop to the local drags and burn chips at the trackside to test configurations. For example, test-and-tune days.
One final question: How do these burners work? Where does the 29c256 chip go? Do they connect to the computer via the printer port? Are they internal boards, so we have to open the comp up to attach the 29c256?

i second that there is a bunch of use OBD0 guys and we get no love
still a cool program
</TD></TR></TABLE>
I third that... however if you read up on pgmfi.org you'll see why. Most of the OBD0 ECUs were designed before standards were created for ECU layout. Hence the OBD0 designs are more complicated, more varied, and most didn't use external ROMs like the OBDI variants do. That's why the OBDI ECUs are so easily chipped - they're already setup for external socketing and the design is simple + standardized. FWIW I hear the '90-'91 PM6 CRX/Civic Si ECU is easily socketed; however, I don't know if Uberdata bins will work with it.

The way i understand it. The 27c256 chip works, but it needs to be erased by a fancy uv light. The uv light costs around 50 bucks+. The chip itself you can buy about 20 for 10 bucks or so on ebay.
the 29c256 chip is better since it can be erased by the burner itself. Yet i'm having trouble finding a place that even sells the chip. In reality, you only need one, maybe two.
As far as the burner, my understanding is that it's just like an external cd burner for your pc. You dont' modify anythin to your computer. you just plug it in, run the burner/reader software and that's it. It does need a 12V supply which i dislike. I believe he sells the adapter, if not...get somesort of 12VDC to Ac adapter at radio-hack or someting.
The only thing you have to open up and socket is your ECU. Open it up and stick your eprom chip in there.

Nice, thanks for the description
Where does the chip plug into the burner then? From looking at the pictures I can't really see any sockets anywhere... feel like I'm blind
And for plugging into the computer - the batronix unit uses a printer cable (ie parallel port), right? Augh I'm such a hardware n00b.

[rant]john cui didnt kno jack **** about hacking the honda ecu. And when chrome was just a regular non-boost editor, he repeatidly asked people to 'donate' boost code so he could make a boost editor. He even went so far as to email evan asking for it. Then I release uberdata for free for the first time, then some magical fairly came along and john cui's editor now supports boost? coincidance? Then I also noticed he only had idle control for P72 roms. WHy is this john? Is it because all uberdata roms are p72 roms and u copied me liek the stupid bitch you are? Then he makes his editor edit uberdata roms so he doesnt have to copy the rest of the **** I create. Then when I bring it up with blunder (owner of pgmfi), he says i'm being selfish. Thats when I pulled uberdata and deleted it off of the pgmfi website. Then after I did that, john cui said something aong the lines that since uberdata isnt aroudn anymore, that he could copy and implemenet all of my features (he was refering to idle pulsewidth adjustment which he hadnt copied yet). His editor isnt even coaded very well, he just loaded a gay windows XP template (which he didnt write, hes good at using other people's code), and wrote it in piece of **** high level delphi (equivilent to visual basic). He doesnt even know windows GUI that wll, and its apparent in his horrible drawing technique. John Cui (author of chrome) is an *******, and chrome sounds ricy too

</TD></TR></TABLE>
Well, say at 5800rpm at full throttle/ and boost at 10psi you have a wideband reading of 13.5:1. You thus want to richen it up. So you go to your fuel table, go to 5800rpm (or near it) and go to 10psi box. There you click on the box. And go and up the percentage the amount that will work. So you might put + 15% or so.
I'm not sure how the interpolate function works though. Anyone care to explain?
And for this group buy, which brand burner? I might just nab the one on ebay.

</TD></TR></TABLE>Well, say at 5800rpm at full throttle/ and boost at 10psi you have a wideband reading of 13.5:1.
I and a few others are using the willem programmer. It works fine with the with at29c256 and is a bit cheaper than the batronix. It is a little confusing to setup the first time since their documentation is not the best but anyone that needs help pm me and I can walk them through setting it up right.
