newest uberdata released

So I went back, burned the stockGSR bin that came with uberdata and it idled perfectly, ran perfectly, but still had that f-in 3500 rev limit. So I gave up for the night and got my 4 hours of sleep. The chips burned right, it said the information was the same on the IC as the program. I'm using an AM29c256 eeprom, and the batronix 3.3 with the newest verison of the prog studio. The JDM p30 ecu was chipped by hondata, everything is clean, and its got one of those TSM resistors (john khrome told me) wired as a jumper, and said it was pro work. did you click on the apply next to the rev limits. if the stock setting was fine then klick apply. maybe you forgot to apply something ( just an idea

ANYWAY
So I got the tricky bastard to work , and my shitty p2 400mhz laptop was the one that got it to work. It is a IBM thinkpad so I opened the config manager and found that the serial port was on....well it wasnt on 378f, or 278f so I changed it, rebooted and the freakin thing worked. ok so here is my problem now.

Cut the j1 jumoer and i bet that 3500 rpm rev limit goes away and if so then theres somthing wrong with either how your putting your chip in or with the soldering of all your connections.

So when are we going to see some tuned maps released? We now have a web site to host them on, so how about some of you guys that have your setups running well, post your burn

I'm going to develop a website based on this thread... summarize all 13 pages of information and collate it all into a single document. Hopefully I'll have it done sometime this week
Taking the FAQ to a whole other level basically... and I'd like to throw the BINs in there also.
I think people are just playing with the s/w right now and trying stuff, not 'tuning' per se... myself, I estimate I'll have Uberdata up and running in about 3 weeks. Then I can start working on buying my turbo parts

I have a few different P28 roms.
I have a stock dump, in which the idle ignition timing is at 16.5.
The P28-ERM baseline rom, that came with Uberdata, has the idle ignition at 18.75.
I understand that the 92-95's had a factory ingnition timing of 16 BTDC. I also know that my 99 is at 18 BTDC from the factory.
I was just wondering if the P28-ERM Baseline rom had been adjusted to work with something similar to my car. The difference in the two is around 2 degrees throughout the timing tables.
THanks.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Good info, I'll have to remember that, I was going to use a D16Y8 tuned program on a D16Z6, now I'll pay special attention to the difference, it's especially harders, since the D16Y8 came with the P2E ecu, and it's nary impossible to find stock maps for that, due to it being OBD2
also, djmatix, I'm only john khrome on AIM, here I'm me...

j davis made that rom. you will have to ask him. i am not sure why he chose to do that. seems strange.

I cant cut the jumper, this ecu was setup by hondata, so its a tcw resistor and its soldered to the board. Its kind of hard to explain. I've had chips working in it before, and I compared the IC data to the bin file and they checked out fine. Is there any roms that people KNOW are right? And also, i've found a couple of sites that have roms on them, but if you load them in the uberdata software, you'll find that people have just been messing around with the program, setting 420,000 fuel cuts...whats up with that? anyway, thanks for the help.
oh, and sorry phiz, i'll call you by the right name

So I am going to have to run the older version on my lap top becasue with the new software, I dont have full acces to the entire map area. Looking at both versions, there are some differences. For anyone running the older software, what should I know about it, to include setup. Or has anyone heard from blake about the version with scroll bars? That would be best, because I am allready familiar with this version. Thanks allot for the help guys.

Did I read somewhere that someone is going to host a site for Uberdata roms?
It would be pretty cool to be able to compare different roms based upon different setups.
I will be happy to contribute.

http://www.b94cast.com/uberdata/ is the link. The site I'm developing, I'll try and find my own host for, so that I can update the BIN listings more easily.
I just got my ZIF sockets in today
The ECU I'm picking up on Friday (P06) for $70 USD... then I just need the Atmel chips, a distributor, O2 sensor and the wiring harness plugs
Uberdata is coming... I'm so hyped!
