i just didnt think there was a scripting for the romulator to get the info from uberdata.....i would love for phiz or falcon gsr to step in and mention if they use this....although im sure real time datalogging/programming is just around the bend and it would be free......
http://www.xtronics.com/memory/romutator.htm
according to the page Uberdata is listed as one of the support softwares....we discussed this a little this back in the old LOOOOONG thread(the ~36 page OG gangsta thread lol)

Pretty sure falcongsr uses it. WOW, I didn't expect such quick organization on the group buy, I had better start saving - but as of right now I have no money
Books, tuition, etc have completely drained me.
I hope you guys get it though, I have been dreaming about the day I do not have to keep pulling those damn chips arg! Yes I do have a ZIF, it still sucks.

BTW guys, I don't know if you've noticed, but if you buy it, it only does file editing - I assume straight hex file editing. So in essence yeah it handles Uberdata but it's not hot editable.
This is the note from the XTronics website: "* = Romulator support with real time updates- others are just file editors."

I'm not sure I follow??

yeah no real time...but from my understanding will this allow you to edit the rom in Uberdata on your laptop, save the file as a bin and then run it directly from the romulator(which is plugged directly into the socket in the ECU)...so no need to constantly swap chips right? still a nice investment IMO, I'd still be down
I think it is referring to the programs in that list. Some, like uberdata, are just a file editors, but some of those programs listed probably have an option to send data to the romulator from within themselves - I dunno.
I don't care if I have to open up another program after I save the bin - as long as I am not juggling chips
EDIT: What DA-MAX said

If you guys are realy smart
you could build your own Batronix ( schematics on the site ) and make a switch panel and build that on to your ECU. so you plug you parralel cable into the ecu
and when your done writing the chip just flip the switch and tun on your car
im thinking of this since i have the shematics and can change them a little bit.

I would NOT buy a romulator. Its an expeeeenive solution to something you never even change much! I have my basetune and I never-ever dick with it. And if I do, I just pop in a new chip. Also pgmfi.org almost has the real-time-programing module finished so there you have a romulator-ish device for say.. 20 bucks. All blake has to do is graft in serial support ... viola done. Or in the mean time just dump new rom images to it like you would a romulator. Just my 2 cents !!!
Also in reguards to datalogging, if anyone here would like I can add datalogging code to a baserom and you can then use ecucontrol with it for now http://www.ecucontrol.com for the clueless.

Datalogging is good...
The new Ecucontrol is supposed to work with OBD1

I already have my serial ready, just need to hook it up on my ECU and try it with EcuControl, just for fun cuz its rom are useless for me but if Uberdata was supporting datalogging, that would rock

1.64 is uploaded. Fixed a memory bug that ate 100 megs of ram for no reason. Also fixed the import feature (i think). Also the program displays the current map sensor bullet instead of being blank. I'll post the water inj script once i test it (as soon as mad cow's brother gives me my turbo/manifold/downpipe back! I should have expected this from a known scammer

Just tried it out - but when I tried to load a map it crashed. Tried stockgsr and stockls. Crashed both times. I am on XP pro.
