Wouldn't it close in between shifts? Woundn't that make it more prone to break faster?

now........if only the video was working....

read the info they talk about hooking up boost controllers to it, so you can tune when it opens up or have it not open at all.... kind of nice... even though im not sure the best way to do that... 2 boost controllers? or just do a cheap MBC for the cutout....

ahh whatever, cool stuff though...

yes it closes when it doesnt see boost, how quickly it closes im not sure....

probably no more prone than an internal wastegate turbo actuator.... which who knows how long they last.... sometimes they fail, sometimes they last a long time....

Don't waste your money... it's going to sound so annoying... it's the same thing as an open wastegate except this thing is going to make noise anytime you enter boost at all... it's going to be loud and obnoxious daily driving... just externally dump your gate for all the same benefits -- and you can still boost without hearing the noise.

what u dont understand tho is that u can hook up a cheap manual boost controller to bleed the pressure in the line so it can open at whatever psi u want it to.. or u can have it closed all the time just by completely bleeding the line.. its a very good concept they came up with.

ATP is a great company, this unit could become very useful depending on how quick it opens/closes

thanks for paying attention, it doesnt have to open all the time..... you can make it so it doesnt, and this is not just a wastegate dump its an exhaust dump.....

and Snail Tuning, yes i would like to know what psi the actuator is, they say in the page it starts to open as soon as you begin to boost, but when is it fully open, ATP makes good stuff, but they do forget to list things on the internet sometimes.... maybe i should e-mail them again...

i had this idea when the e-cutout exploded here...yeah you could make one with a actuator and a throttle body or just use a big wastegate and whatever spring you wanted. i would rather run this than a switch or a lever...makes more sense if you think about it. just mash the pedal and if you want it quiet then let off.
