Need help building a monster
I'm building a b18c1 for Turbo, I don't know what valves, springs retainers ect...
or turbo to get for a goal 500whp+ build. I have a dart sleeved block bored out to 83.5 with ARP studs. I think i'm going with a wiseco 9:1 pistons , eagle rods and stock crank. Fuel options in town are 93,100 & 105
This is my first big build, I wanna do it right, so any help, suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: Need help building a monster (gsr173)
Simple supertech valvetrain, get it bored/honed to 84mm with either Wiseco or CP pistons(9:1)
B18a/b crank (LS)
manley rods
1000cc injectors
walbro 255lph
Competition clutch stage 4
thermal 3" exhaust
Full-race stage 2 kit either GT 3076R or the cheaper t3:t60-1 .82a/r
Hondata s300/neptune RTP and a good tuner like Tony (T1) or Jeff Evans.
105octane with over 450whp.(The tuners will advice you on this subject)

If you're shooting for 500whp at the most, follow Atec's advice. Another turbo option that you may choose to investigate is the Borg Warner line-up. I bought my new S256 from Turbodano and can't wait to try it out. The S256 compares almost identically to the GT3076r and the S258 is slightly better IMO.

oh everytime i see you say that i wish we lived close by so we could run (on the track)... one day maybe one day...
my advice to the op, GT3076R, if its a street car i would go with the 35r, the large engine will spool it at a decent time and the lag should be good for traction, i personally dont mind some lag...

Well, if you missed the thread...there was a comparison of the GT3076 and the S256. They were pretty evenly matched. The S258 is even better than the S256 they tested. Also, the test vehicle was unable to move enough fuel to let the turbos really open up (which is the BW's strongpoint)

i saw the thread, i also recall the 3076r spooling 500rpm earlier almost everywhere in the graph i know the bw unit was capable of flowing more air but i think thats only cause its a slightly larger unit, which makes me wonder if they made the unit the exact same size as the 3076r would it spool a little earlier to match it... but thats another topic all together...
