the sc6265 is a great turbo but its pushing it to try and hit 800whp with it. i would definately go sc6765. the crower rods is the better choice. who's tunning the car?

I dunno about the BC rods, I would probably do the manley turbo tuff ones first, I like the billet crower rods my self, pauters are strong but are really heavy. And I agree with the post above, your pushing it with that turbo, the 67 would be a much better choice. Who is doing all the head work? And if your in NY take advantage of it and go to miller, you are lucky to have someone like that to go to.

aluminum rods should be given some thought. id go with complete ferrea valvetrain and ditch the superjunk stuff, 4" exhaust, and a good ported head. Power is made in the head. I wouldn't try to push 800hp from a 62mm turbo, go 67 in T4.

I don't think you relize what 800hp is, unless your just looking to make 800, say you have 800, and never go to the track and go fast.

Go 84mm at minimum. The difference between bore size will be 5% power (that's 30-50hp at 800hp). 81.5mm vs 84mm is a huge difference in keeping detonation away and overall engine efficiency. It's a no brainer.

You need A LOT larger injectors. 1600cc would be the minimum. You really want 2000cc injectors. As for a turbo, you need something that will flow 80-90lb/min. Look into BorgWarners.

The difference between 600hp and 800hp is night and day. It's like the difference between low 10's and mid 9's. It's WORLDS apart.

The OP never said anything about E85. He won't hit 800whp on 1600cc injectors on E85 unless he adds 4 more(which would be overkill). 1600cc injectors barely will get him 800whp on gasoline.

Everyone in here is ranting about 1600cc Injectors, its a pretty widely known fact that ID1000's at 100psi base flow 1500cc.

Nobody mentioned E85....

Lol no need for an AL Rod the Manleys or the BC's will be just fine, Matt Keller went 170mph with the BC's I am sure they will be fine for your app.

All Ferrea all day, never ever would I consider another company for my valvetrain.

Moroso Pans are nice, get the steel pan I have seen alot of the AL pans leak.

I agree with nowtype, why are you going with 81.5 on a sleeved motor? Please learn from my mistake and go to at least 83. I started at 81.5 because that's what the shop recommended to me and it was stupid, I went to 83 and upped my compression to 9.4:1. That's what I should have done from the beginning.

1. The 81.5mm bore might limit you. Its nice to have the extra 'meat' incase something goes wrong, but i would overbore a little more...83mm or so

2. The ID1000s seem a little small at first glance but in light of the comment above by 96 GSR-T, they should flow enough. By my rough calculation, you would need about 1200cc's/inj to make 800whp on gasoline. If the ones you have can do more than that, you're in the clear.

3. The turbo seems to be a little on the small side IMO. I'm not sure what its truly capable of, but i would look at something larger. Maybe i'm a bit biased but i would look into the Borg Warner units...an S372 would get the job done

4. The 3" exhaust to me seems a limitation yet again. I know it's probably fine, but your goal is not something in which efficiency can be overlooked. On a 300whp setup where another pound of boost will compensate, i would overlook small things like this, but when trying to make that kind of power, you have to pick up efficiency whenever possible.

you should definately contact Miller @ NRGtech and talk to him about the build. since he will be tuning it you should keep him in close contact with you and together ya'll will put the proper setup together to reach your goals. (631)243-6674
