Default Is my profec b shot?

Yesterday I took the car to Jeff Evans for some street tuning. Got the partial throttle maps dialed in and decided to do some boost pulls. Heres the setup with the boost controller and what happened. Tial 35mm 7psi spring. Back of unit is set to "external wastegate". Low and high boost dials turned all the way down. Gain is right in the middle. Back of controller, solenoid IN, and side wastegate port to vacuum manifold. OUT to top of wastegate. With this setup, heres what happens. When the unit is on, wastegate does not open. Unit off, wastegate does not open. With unit off, removed the vacuum line from top port of wastegate to OUT on solenoid, and wastegate opens at the spring level. Is something up with my solenoid? I'm stumped. I'm thinking about trying to set the back of the unit to "internal wastegate" to see what happens.

My Profec B has NEVER worked! The first time I dynoed with 500whp we had to use a Turbo XS manual boost controller. The Profec would never work, the wastegate stayed closed and just kept going up and up and up! We sent the unit back to Greddy and they sent it back saying unit tested fine no problems, we put it on again and SAME thing. Now others have said that the instructions are wrong, hook it up same to the wastegate and everything in the engine bay but swicth the dipswitches to Internal with Overboot. at least Turbodandee told me this and this fixed his, I just redid my dip switches last night BUT haven't went out and tried it out yet. Check this thread my boy Jr was having with the new Profec B Spec 2

Ok, so you are having the same issue as me. Post up your results on whether setting the switches for an internal works for you. I remember back a while ago my friend had my profec working somehow, with the switches set for internal, and no top port going to the wastegate. I just can't remember exactly what he did. I wonder if tapping the charge pipe before the throttle body for the "IN" source would change anything?

I am having the same problems. With the Profec-B installed my wastegate never opens! Have you guys had any luck? What settings have you tried?

You have to make sure everything is set up right. Have him set it up like his is , im sure it will work then .
