Default My first FI setup, all help is beneficial

Setup
b16 stock
turbonetics t3/t4 turbo
drag manifold
tial wastegate
hks bov
rc 750s
3 bar map

My plugs are black smells like fuel from exhaust, only running 40lbs of fuel pressure, and no boost is showing if i rev my motor but my BOV is blowing off?? stumped, this i my first FI setup alwasy been all motor, so all help is beneficial.

It's kind of hard to get any boost to build when you got no load on the motor. Take it to a tuner. What EMS?

just running a basemap right now, only want to run about 8 lbs

you should tune it asap. If the car is just running on a base map then it's probably running really rich / "safe" .. thus making the plugs smell like gas. as for the bov.. my last setup would "blow off" or make noise without boost just revving the engine.. i think its just due to the changes in vac.

Base map is not correct for your setup.I don't care if your running 8 or 80 psi.Have it tuned or learn to tune it your self, those are the two options.

1) Get the car tuned. The gas you smell is likely your car running VERY rich. A tune will take care of that.
2) Your bov is not actually blowing off.....it just creeps open and closed right? Mine does the exact same thing when I rev it with no load on the engine (50mm tial). You're not gonna build boost with no load on the engine unless your utilizing a two step or the like. If you really don't like the bov cycling like that then get a slightly stiffer spring for it.......GL
