here is my setup i have been puting together over the last few weeks for my eg hatch.
it isn't complete and i have a few questions on what would be good to do while keeping my budget (which is tight)...

greddy type-r bov

oh and if i have money at the time i will be geting aem ems, or else it is crome pro for now.

I think that is all for now so on to my questions.

1. I plan on building a custom intake manifold with 5" runners. i haven't calculated the plenum size and it would be for a 68mm t-body, with velocity stacks inside the plenum. Now will this be a worthy addition to my build or should i stick with a stock one untill i get headwork done?

2. I don't know how safe it is revving a stock ls head to 8k which was my planned cut off point. any input?

I wouldnt go past like 7500 to 7800. I would also get a ignition or at least a external coil just something to get alittle bit better spark.

What kinda power you plan on targeting with this setup?

 

idk i was thinking around 300whp on pump 91, and well what ever it can do with the limitations of my setup on c16./race gas.

i will mainly drag raceon the weekends, but there is a road course near by that i would like to hit up once i get the brakes, suspension, and motor/turbo setup to the point where i think i trust it on a real track for extended periods of time.

but hat is a ways down the line.

so really what i'm trying to build is a fast street carthat can be tracked, but it HAS to be very drivableon the street when i want to go cruise around.

 

so.... does anyone feel like helping, or do i need to wate more time acually testing ****. sense it seems no one here feels like helping...

You asked two questions.......

Answer #1. Time to do a LOT of research. Very improbable that you will find an answer to a complex question like that within this post. Flow dynamics, in particular quality flow (tumble vs. laminar) and many other variables play major roles in im design. PM fullracegeoff (I think thats his name on here, i always forget), or just send an email to his shop. Perhaps contact J.Davis, he is a very knowledgeable guy and if not to busy he might be willing to explain a lot of stuff to you.......
