Default ****HELP WITH GSR BLOCK PUSHING 18g BUILD****

Im wondering if this setup would do good im looking for at leased 350+ at leased 11lbs of boost or more if applyable

*stock gsr top end internals
*skunk2 manifold w/type r throttlebody
*walbro 255 fuel pump
*stillen FPR
*aftermarket fuel rail
*LS Crank in a gsr block(work with what i have lol after spun bearing lol)
*arp head bolts
*81.5 mm bore with stock sleeves
*ls 9.0:1 wiseco forged pistons 81.5mm
*ls Eagle H beam rods
*ACL race bearings
*full greddy td05h 18g setup w/ aftermarket mini ram horn manifold
*welded internal wastegate to make room for external 38mm tial wastegate
*adapters and flanges of course.
*piping
*3" dp
*retune on chrome gold

i got bit of the money together already now im just making sure if this setup will do good for daily driver. im not making it for crazy speed, but just enough to be fun lol.

my questions would be
*would the compression be good enough? too low or too high?
*what spring rate would be best in the wastegate?
*what headgasket will be best to use?
*and would i need a blockguard ?

thanks!!

No. the turbo will only do 350 at over 22psi. its 41lbs/min, smaller than a 50 trim or 20G. use a higher than one bar spring. (Look up what 1 bar means ). OEM headgasket is best

-I think 10:1 compression is the new 9:1. Easily safe on pump 93 octane.
-OEM headgasket
-No blockgaurd. You can make 350 on stock sleeves.

You didnt state what size injectors. youll want at LEAST 550cc. preferably 750cc. I assume you are tuning on pump gasoline since you didnt specify. Youll need alot more than 11psi.

mac, we've already told this gy all about that twice... this makes thread #2...

you're gonna be hard pressed to make 350 on an 18g and by the time you buy all the **** you need to make 300 you could have just bought a 50 trim...

the other post was strictly related to the td05h turbo i just wanted some advice for this build since i finally got the money together.

the turbo setup should do good for now(winter), untill i get my future .57 trim plan...

so it would be a bit of a struggle to get 350hp outta this setup huh?

if i go above 11psi what requirements would be needed? as of right now i know i need a aftermarket map sensor. and bigger injectors.and of course a retune.

injectors i have right now are 440cc sorry i didnt state it.. though it wouldnt be enough im assuming.

and im trying to tune on pump gas, correct..

ALSO, if i am using the oem headgasket would i need to cut a bit of the cyl. holes up since im going 81.5mm bore or would i be able to just drop it in. since it isnt that big of a difference.

and thanks for the heads up on the blockguard that was bugging me, people saying i should get it, people saying i shouldnt n dont need it..

yea but the money im using right now is going toward my block and turbo setup, not just the .50 trim setup and have my block still spun.

we've already told you 350hp is damn near impossible in 2 other threads.
you'll have to run 22-25psi to get 350 out of that turbo and IF you can it will be nothing but hot air... the compressor outlet temps at that pressure ratio are staggering.

ideally you'd need 550cc injectors at least. and what are your power goals for the 57 trim? if you're out for 400ish get a 50 trim. its a much better fit

they make bored out oem headgaskets.... you can't just cut the gasket, that doesn't work... golden eagle uses oem gaskets and laser cuts them for an overbore

okay thanks for all the heads up. definently helps me out with the build!

may be alittle off topic but should i even bore out the block to 81.5? or would it be a waste of cash. the cyl. walls are perfect not scratched, not too smooth and not too rough at 81mm stock bore

Have a machinest measure the cylinder walls with the pistons to see if it's needed
