whats the best location for the o2 placementin the dp for the senser im useing a aem any help would be great

i would likt to know the CORRECT placement also, i know my bung is in the dp about 10" off the exhaust side of the turbo, but i dunno if thats the CORRECT place

plx suggests, before the cat and 24" away from the turbo. dunno if its the same for the AEM though.

think about it. If the exhaust is in a confined space traveling in one direction, the AFR isnt going to change at all. I have always understood that putting it a little farther down the pipe ensures the afr is even in a given amount of space. (all the way mixed if you will) Plus its a little bit cooler a little farther away.

keep it about 20" down the dowpipe from the turbo.

Does having an open dump tube affect the accuracy of the WB as apposed to having it tie back into the DP ???

you def dont want the wideband at the end of the downpipe. If its too close, you will get a lean reading. How far to keep it from the end of the downpipe, i donno, 8-10 iches maybe more ?

so mine is too close. Prolly 10" from the turbo ... dump tube not tied back in ... so am I actually running richer than its tellin me ??

No, i meant to close to the end of the down pipe (fresh air can circulate into the downpipe and cause a lean reading). Nothing to do with being too close to the turbo
