Default Where to Mount O2 on downpipe??

Just wondering if anyone has their O2 mounted on the top elbow by the exhaust flange? will there be a problem with this? i'm asking because most tegs have the O2 mounted next to the flange connecting to the cat. converter. Sorry for the newbie question but i wasn't too sure if this will affect the ecu's reaction because of the heat.

At first I had the bung mounted right by the turbo on the downpipe. I don't know the answer as to weather it will be subjected to more heat but with that location I would think it would. I had another bung welded and moved it to the stock location. It just seems as if the sensor would wear out prematurely being that close to the turbo, but I could be wrong.

In the FJO instruction book it says to weld the O2 bung at least 18 inches from the exhaust valves.
