Light blue smoke when boost kicks in? GSR motor?
The GSR motor (stock pistons/rods, itr cams, ferrea valves and valve springs, nsr tech turbo manifold etc) has about 45000 miles on the motor and 2000miles on the new parts. It's OBD1.
It's running a T3/T4 turbo at 8psi and now it only blows light blue smoke when I hit vtec or boost.
I know im running a lil rich already but could the piston rings be going bad?
It doesnt smoke at idle or normal driving, just when boost and/or vtec kicks in.
Any help?
Thanks.

WTF are you doing boosting without a tune? C'mon man, you know better than that...
Andyfloyd is right, it is probably just a little blowby. Mine does it all the time. I'm getting a catchcan installed soon as well. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that you don't have a catchcan. If you had one, you would probably know because they are not normally installed in hondas.
Just to be on the safe side, it might be a good idea to go ahead and run a leakdown and compression test just to get an idea of the overall health of your engine especially now that you have boosted it.
In any case, be sure to come back and update your post with your results so others can learn too.

The car has been tuned. Just not dyno tuned for the BEST performance.
EDIT: The compression is perfect. Where can I do a leak down test?

anybody that has a compression tester hose and an air compressor. Or you could just pay a shop to do it if you don't have the tools. They shouldn't charge you any more than an hour of labor to run both tests.
What are you using to monitor your AFR? What datalogger are you using? Just curious...

Thanks.
It does it seems when boost kicks in, but then again its on a spring so it only pretty much does it when VTEC does kick in.
The car runs perfect though. But we'll see the test results.
