Default Intermittant power lost to my hondata 3b

Well I read somewhere that someone had a similar problem like mine, but since the search function is not working in archive mode. I was wondering if anyone esles have the same problem? My problem is...In the morning, the car would drive just fine. But if I park it and either during the afternoon or after work, the blue box would stop working. This in turn won't let me get past 4k rpm. I check to see if it is lit and it wasn't. So I called up the dealer that I bought the 3b from and he said to check the connection from the ECU to the blue box. Well I figured maybe the wires to the blue box from the ECU is either cut or crimped. I remove the ECU, resoldered where the wire connect to the ECU and ran the wire like on hondata web site. This morning it rans fine, but then this afternoon while going to lunch, it did the samething again. Now I am baffled, tried calling the dealer that I bought it from and of course he won't answer the phone and of no help.

I heard that some units were accidently shipped awhile back with some wires backwards, but your problem sounds like something is loose. Just give Doug a call, I'm sure he'll take care of you.

Damn, you know what. I tried measuring the voltage going to the blue box and gotten 5 v and all. So as the last resort, I took the box out and put it in the refrigerator for 5 minutes and reconnect. The damn thing worked again.

Sorry, you must have gotten a system configured for our Alaskan users.

Ship it back with the ECU cable (with name address and phone number) and we will replace it.

Doug
