Default Intercooler Piping?

T25 turbo in a CRX with a ZC. What size piping should I use for this. I also have a Starion IC and holes on that are 1.75 inches. Should I go with 2 or 2.25 inch before that IC and go up to 2.25 or 2.5 after the IC? Also what size should my Downpipe be? Thanks

hmmm a starion ic? the outlets are about 1.75? go one step up to two inch. just an idea. you could redo the end tanks too to setup for a 2.25inch or take two steps up.

best of luck w/ your setup!

So, would I get any gains from a 2.25 inch setup if the outlet on the T25 is only 2 inch? Should I stay with the 2 inch or is it worth it to go up to 2.25 inch?

For a T25, a 2" inner diameter before the intercooler would fine, after the intercooler you can step up to 2.25 ID, and have that run right into the throttle body. This should be fine. The T25 can only flow so much CFM, so going any bigger would be unnecessary.

In about 6 months time I want to put on a T3. Will I have to upgrade the piping?

Not really, but a T3 will not bolt up to a T25 manifold without an adapter plate (which is available from DSM shops).

No you don't have to. The piping I specified should be adequate for your setup. If you do plan on getting a T3, which I do highly advise you to do, you should get a T3 with a 60 trim compressor wheel and a .63 A/R for the turbine. That would be perfect if you're planning to do 7-12 PSI. Spool up will be really quick and very fun on the street. You can get these on Ebay for around 100-250.
