Intercooler piping?? what size??
If you plan to run 10 pounds max, 2" is fine. You can go the safe route though and make it 2.25...that would even make it worth more for a resale thing some day.
I used 2.25 piping on my custom kit, but I heard it would benefit me to run 2.5 on the pipe that runs to my t.b. has anyone done that and had sucsess or is it not worth the hassel of changing it.

if your piping is 2.25 and your tb is 2.5, what kind of coupler can you use to connect the two? I need to find something quick that will fit both sides

You can just buy a cheap rubber coupler from Home-Depot. The one that might fit is the 1 1/2" to 2" coupler for thick galvanized steel sewer pipe. It fits on my 2" to 2 1/2" and 2 1/2" mates up to my TB perfectly. You should be able to stretch it to fit onto a 2 1/4" pipe. Take your pipe to the store if you want to test it out. It comes with hose clamps for like 3$, but it is not heat rated, so you can take your chances there. I've seen a bunch of people using it also in their ghetto turbo picts though.
2inch from turbo to intercooler and 2 1/4 from intercooler to TB is perfect for street combos.. you get quicker spool up due to the less volume of compressed air is needed to fill the pipes.. i have personally seen 400hp+ on street cars running this set up... 2 1/4 all the way is fine too...
