Inline fuel pump for turbo
I am running stock fuel pump with Vortech FMU (assuming its the 12:1 disc). I would really like to go with a walbro 255 as I know how that install is done and there are no mods needed to put it in, just drops in.
I was recommended to either get bigger injectors with my setup OR a inline fuel pump. My question is I don't know the part # or any info on which inline I should be going with. If anyone can link me to a site selling exactly what I need or a part or model number, I'd appreciate it.
Also can you resolve this myth I was told that inline fuel pumps don't allow flow through them unless they're turned on or something wacky like that? In other words can I bolt this thing to the fire wall, plug in the fuel lines and not worry about it, and it will make sure I'm not running lean?

i will be selling the inline pump from my drag kit, purchased walbro in tank so won't need it i think...
gimme your email address if interested, i'll get back to you when the kit arrives(any day now)

well... the inline fuel pump is better to use with your setup. i wouldnt recommend that over an intank. you have to connect power to the fuel pump of course, as well as connecting it to the fuel lines. its not a hard thing to do. either get the pump from the DRAG3 kit, or get yourself a bosche inline fuel pump. i see inlines on sale on ebay and thepartstrader.com from time to time.
Hopefully the search function is working and you can do a search on this. Many people in here consider using only an intank pump with an fmu a big no-no... remember that as pressure increases flow will decrease... most if not all intanks simply cannot supply the volume required at high (100+ psi) fuel pressure...as dlplayboy has recommended the inline Airtex pump from the DRAG 3 kit works well as does the Bosch (more expensive). If the inline is plumbed in place but not electrically connected, it will be a restriction...its no big deal to hook it up, just ground and tap the positive wire into the main relay...
If you are putting in an inline fp, don't get the intank. You don't need all that fuel with your 12:1. I gaurantee you will be running rich with the 12:1 right off the bat, so don't worry about the intank until you get Hondata + larger injectors or something.

pressure alone is not what you want. you need the volume. intank, inline, and lower the fmu disk to prevent running to rich. try to keep a balance and avoid really high fuel pressures.
Ok while we're on the subject would I be needing to take the FMU out and apart and buying a whole new disc in order to do that? Which would you recommend @ 7 psi, msd inline, stock fuel pump, and stock injectors?
A 12:1 FMU and an inline pump(only) is fine for 7psi. If you must change out the disk, you should move down to the 10:1, which you can get to by opening up the top of the FMU(I assume you have a Vortech). Also if you have a AFC or a VAFC you can lean it out without messing with the FMU.
You can also purchase the whole fmu disk set from vortech for about $45 which is what i did, rather than pay 30 for each disk. It comes with 4-12:1 disks in increments of two i think.

So, the BBK inline pump says that it: Flows up to 50 gph (gallons per hour) at up to 70 psi
* Perfect for supercharged or nitrous-equipped cars
I'm planning on running <7psi, probably five if I have to nerve to mess with the stock actuator on my turbo (anyone have advice for that?) and I have an FPR and 290cc injectors...do I need the pump, or even the FMU? I've got an A/F gauge and Boost Gauge, so I'll be able to tell if it starts getting hairy...
