Default Fuel Pump "already searched"

Ok, i've used the serach function and i've checked out all the archives, but i have one quick question.

- My drag 3 kit came with an Airtex inline fuel pump, but i've heard many say to upgrade. My question is, i'm gonna be running 370 cc injectors, with the Vortec FMU recalibrated to 8:1 or 6:1, and a VAFC
- I plan to run it around 6-7 lbs, and up it on the weekends to 10-12.
-What kind of fuel pump should i use?? Inline? Intank? Holley, Walbro, Bosch???

Thanks

people with fmu's usually go with inline pumps...intank pumps don't flow enough for the fmu's, but are good for hondata and standalones

are your fuel pressures going to be above 90psi? If you answer yes you need to have an inline pump to be safe. If you are only going to be hitting MAX pressures below 90psi you can just go with an intank Walbro gss342.

I don't know what my fuel pressure will be? Do you all think that my stock fuel pump and the Airtex with the kit will be sufficient?? I think with the FMU down and the bigger injectors, my fuel pressure would be lower than the stock injectors with the 12:1 FMU right??

It will definitely be lower than with a 12:1 rise rate. Lets say you lower you static FP to 40psi. At 10 lbs of boost and a 6:1 rise rate you will be at 100psi. Stick with the Airtex.

I will need an adjustable FPR to lower my Static pressure right?

So do i need to get an adjustable FPR??
Also, should i buy an aftermarket fuel filter, or will the stock due?? The stock one has 12,000 miles on it??

Get a aeromotive FPR and Aeromotive Fuel pump Inline. The you wont have to worry about fuel delivery at any psi. But get some stainless steel lines cause the factory arn't good to 200psi. of fuel pressure. Of course you wont be running 20psi. of boost anyway.
